Small Business Concerns Over New IR Rules Echoed in Senate Inquiry

Last Friday in Canberra CEO Luke Achterstraat appeared along with COSBOA Director Adele Sutton on behalf of small businesses at the Senate inquiry into the government’s latest tranche of new IR rules.

Evidence was provided to the committee that increased complexity and uncertainty would damage small business, particularly in hiring casuals and the right for independent contractors to be their own boss.

Our evidence was picked up in tabloid media across the country and in an opinion piece in the Canberra Times.
