Congratulations to Malcolm Turnbull and commiserations to Tony Abbott.
With the change of Prime Minister we have an opportunity to truly focus on the economy. the future, tomorrow’s economy and jobs will come from a focus on skills development, export markets, support for innovators and import management. It will come from small and medium business people.
The past, yesterday’s economy was built on Wesfarmers, Woolworths, mining companies and big developers and their associated unions – or so they think.
it should be remembered that past economic crisis were created by big businesses and any future economic crisis will always come from big business, failed greedy big businesses who believe they are everything.
These big businesses still believe they are the future but they are only focused on the need to satisfy shareholders and their KPIs. These companies do not add to productivity – they sell things or dig things or don’t pay their tax. They are important to jobs but they are holding back the economy due to the pressure they place on the supply chain and on policy makers.
The future, tomorrow is about those who add value and make or produce products.
Bruce Billson has shown deep understanding of this, Malcolm Turnbull will support Bruce – won’t he? Or will the money and ruling class attitudes of a small number of big businesses and their supporters hold sway?
